Matthew Marcus
Manager of Governmental Affairs, Legislative Director, Public Advocates Office
Matthew is the Public Advocates Office’s (the Office) Legislative Director. He is responsible for advancing the Office's legislative and budget agendas before the Governor’s Office, Legislature, Department of Finance, Legislative Analyst’s Office and other entities in Sacramento.
He was the Office's Acting Deputy Director for Water and Communications. Previously, Matthew worked for the CPUC’s Office of Governmental Affairs for four years representing the CPUC in Sacramento.
Matthew has been with the CPUC since 2001. Prior to moving to California, Matthew worked for a member of Congress for three years and two lobbying firms specializing in representing clients before Congress.
